Kraal looks up at Chris in surprise, saying, "You guys did my cleaning job for me?" Chris shrugs and says, "Least we could do." Kraal smiles, looking relaxed, and taps on his phone. We see a closeup of a to-do list item labeled "clean apartment" which get checked off as Kraal says, "Thank you. That helps a lot. Now I just need to set up my interview with Bishop and…" Off panel, Chris' voice says, "Taken care of." Kraal stares open-mouthed at Chris, who smiles and wags his tail while saying, "We called Bishop. He said you can do it after exams. As long as it's before the end of the year." We see a closeup of Kraal's face, smiling elatedly as he says, "That… that's perfect! That gives me plenty of time!!" We see a closeup of another to-do list item getting checked off, labeled, "call bishop".
Lark says…
One thing I’ve been working on is exaggerating poses and expressions a bit more. One example of this is the third panel. You can see that Kraal looks surprised in the rough thumbnail version, then in the more refined sketch version he looks a bit more gobsmacked: he slumps forward and his mouth hangs open as he stares up at Chris in unbelief. This helps to really sell how big of a deal this is to him. To some it might not seem like much; his roommates contacted someone to reschedule an appointment for him. That’s nice, but nothing to write home about, right? But to Kraal, it was literally something he could check off of his to-do list, which has been steadily increasing in length since the beginning of the chapter. And if we need any more proof that this is a big deal to him, we need look no further than the very next panel, in which he actually looks elated and somewhat emotional.

Judging by experience, it was not, in fact, the “least” they could do.
